OK then Listen up ‘n pay attention to what the Old Lady sez or I will find you and bite your butt………vierstehen sie??
You got that?
I have decided I am going to give the world a break and see if I still got me a *blog* somewhere in this creaky old carcass of mine. I have no idea what to write about but what the heck. I’m sure something will show up. But I need to take a quickie break first, the old tattered brain cells are kind of rusty and frayed at the edges. WHOA !~!~!!! —- I think I just found something.
This *whatever it is* was just laying around on a page in my Wordpad files. Gotta see if it fits into the space allotted for me here. On my WordPress thesis.. Where I’m typing this as I speak. At this moment. OK then. Harumpff! *cough* Ready?

quotes —
“…..The supreme arrogance of religious thinking ~~ that a carbon-
based bag of mostly water on a speck of iron-silicate dust
around a boring dwarf star in a minor galaxy in an
underpopulated local group of galaxies in an unfashionable
suburb of a super cluster would look up at the sky and declare,
“it was all made so that I could exist!”

Well, there you have it. Another human who believes in reality and
knows no invisible deity could [or did] *create* anything,
much less an entire planet plus a few members of an imaginary dysfunctional
“family” which grew from that small group in “The Garden of Eden“ to the seven billion
humans we now have using up Earth’s resources at an appallingly rapid pace. How any human
can believe there is some kind of supernatural being residing in an endless Universe,
who people worship–for who knows what reason– (this “god” fellow never, EVER did
one single thing to facilitate the liberties of homo sapiens “He” supposedly also “created”)
When are human beings going to grow up??? Children are allowed to have invisible friends,
but I’m pretty sure kids know the difference between their invisible “friends” and real
ones……..grown-ups need to accept reality by acting like responsible adults—-and give up
the vain hope that “praying” to their invisible deity will make those prayer supplications actually
work out somehow—-they won’t work, prayers never do, they will always fail.
Most of the problems of the world are, and always have been, caused by religion.
For example, Northern Ireland, the Middle East, 9/11, gay bashing, and family
planning clinic bombings in the USA. Then there were the crusades, the inquisition,
witch burnings, the suppression of women, and the dark ages. Get the idea?
“Humanity will never truly be free until the ugly black yoke of religion is lifted
by the clear light of truth, reason and rational thinking.” John Adams, 4th
President of America said that. He was also credited with the statement that
REALLY ticks off the self-righteous Rethuglicans—– “This country
was in no way founded as a Christian nation”
And last, but certainly not least, a few months ago?, the ridiculous bellowing and “Much Ado
About Nothing” by the “Council of Bishops Gang” whining about their “religious liberties”.,,..whatever the heck that’s supposed to mean….Come on folks!!!—-what other humungous money-making business(“religion”) gets to keep every cent it takes in without one penny paid in taxes, like real businesses (plus, are these “religious” entities EVER required to account for any of the huge piles of money about which no-one ever seems to ask what and WHERE (philanthrophy) the “church” dispenses it?).
What an astonishing *con game* the assorted religious entities of America are allowed to
manipulate for their own benefit !!
Just read an article today on an online News site that the collective *holy roller* businesses in our country pile up a tidy $17 Billion in “profits” yearly —- or whatever all that loot that’s put into collection plates (and holy investments?) is called ?? Who knows? *Religion* does just about anything it wants to do—no questions asked?
Why do churches, temples, synagogues, mosques, et al get a free ride in our society, anyway??
The most willfully ignorant “believers” live with the biggest fairytale of all……….Creation. I just
can’t wrap my mind around any human being actually believing our planet was *created* by
a non-existent superhero (who never, ever did SQUAT for Earth’s inhabitants, so of what use is
this “god” to anyone, anyway?) How did the so-called “superior” species on this planet ever get
the screwy idea Earth was created in one big swipe of a “godly” invisible wand ??
—–and this supposedly awesome *magic trick* has culminated in the extraordinarily bountiful
planet named “Earth” ?? Yikes, that really IS some kind of pipe dream!
And yet, there are still gullible humans who believe the fiction of *Creation* should be
taught in America’s public schools !!! “Sawdust for Brains” Sarah Palin was an advocate for
classes in “Creation” to be taught to real live children…..in an actual school of *learning*.—–Oy ! (Sure
would liked to have seen what kind of mumbo-jumbo curricula for *Creationism* she would
have [tried] to come up with ……… Whew.)
Well, I think I have vented long enough. I hope a few people, anyway, will read this very
lengthy rant/rave. I know I feel better now, thank you very much.
Oh Yeah!…..read my lips. — I don’t know much about EVOLUTION, aka *Natural Selection*
but I do know *IT* occurred on this planet and it is absolutely ludicrous to believe an invisible
“deity” slapped it all together, threw in that dysfunctional “family” I mentioned and voila` —-
there it was. NOT LIKELY! It would take a lot of time to find the answers to the route taken
that ultimately produced the fragile hominids who are supposedly the “superior” species~~~~
but I bet it’s an interesting story !!
Every human being shares 98.6% of their DNA with the world’s primates. Coincidence? I don’t
think so…….LOL
Instead of that meaningless slogan “In god we trust”, it makes more sense to call it
“In reason we trust” (not to mention the very cool quote by some old guy in our
collective past, which I use a lot…… because it is so doggone To The POINT. —
“,,,,,,,,,,Religions disperse, kingdoms collapse, but works of
science live on thru the ages.”
Now THERE is a catch-phrase every living thing created by our mutual “mother” (NATURE) can be
relied upon as the reality of reasonable beliefs……………….
OK, I’m done now.
