Nuthin’ Much

by Lorraine on April 24, 2010

Hello.  It’s me.  I see by the insidious disappearance of the letters *A* and *T*  which once followed the letter *C* on that line…..has been consumed by the worsening condition of my blog page. I yearn for the simplicity of Blogger.com and wish I could just leave this giant alien platform called “Word Press”  and go back to where I was so happy for nearly nine years.

I regret all the snippy things I’ve said in the past about Blogger.com, when its machinations by invisible Webmasters caused, now and then,  an interruption in my pursuit of slapping words down on the monitor screen and hoping something very dazzling and incredibly great showed up on the page. *SIGH*

My very clever kidlet has never seen anything like this……(my Incredible Shrinking Splashpage)……from her cozy office in her home she does not see the same mess that my page shows right now. To me. It looks fine and dandy from her end of the cosmos. I wish I knew what visitors see when they arrive at the “home” page of meandthecat.com. Do they see the same squishing into a smaller resolution? Am I even making any sense? *SIGH*

Oh well. As soon as I stop cowering in the corner of my closet feeling sorry for myself, I will think more upon this really stupid problem.

Oh, gotta tell ya. I had a great time the other day. I had a date at the Nuclear Medicine clinic at my most favorite Med Center.  To receive a “bone scan”. Somehow I was infused, totally, with radioactive “stuff” —- This stuff had to permeate every nook and cranny of my beat-up old carcass in order for the “scan” to see what’s what. I sat for three hours in the Nuc Med waiting room with nothing but ancient magazines to keep me company. Was I bored? You bet your bippy.

Next Tuesday the Bonecutter and I will face off and he will tell me what the heck is going on! ! ! !

*SIGH*  [hand me my bottle of Percocet, please? --- Thanx!]

Mary —- Thanks for stopping by! And yes, there is an “Autumn Leaves” site, although I have not visited it for….yikes…..a couple of years. And as we all know who are members of *The Club* —Growing old is not for sissies.

Wendy —- Hey, Girl!!! You can’t quit your blogging because you *think* no-one has found your site yet !! You didn’t say if you had a sitemeter, if not, go to sitemeter.com and read all about it. There will always be *lurkers*, too. Those are the people who read your blogs but (if you have a comments feature) do not leave a comment but the sitemeter will know who they are.

Sue, Vicodin didn’t do squat for me and since I prefer being a martyr and enduring my pain rather than take even ONE more narcotic pill than is prescribed, perhaps it just wasn’t the drug for me……but this *Percocet* (its generic name on the bottle says “Oxycodone, etc” [Oxycontin].

Oh Good Grief! Keithikins! I am so sorry, but as I have been whining about (and why I am ready to throw in the towel — or I should say, WordPress) I have no idea of what sneaky poltergeist is driving me cuckoo.

Want to get an e-mail off to you anyway, —– a bit later.

I posted a comment, but it seems to have vanished into thin air!

Hi Lorraine, I love your new webpage. I started a blog with Blogspot, but I didn’t get any hits so I dont bother with it now.

Hope you come back soon and let us know how it went with the bone cutter. Found your site by way of Autumn Leaves, I think that’s what it’s called.

I will be back. I love reading other journals of people closer to my age. I’m not the only one out there with aches and pains :)

Does percocet have the same lovely basic ingredient as vicodin? The latter makes my hip almost happy.

Hmm, looks fine to me. And, mmmm, Percocet. That’s what I got for my last kidney stone, and it almost worked!
